I was not ready to go thru the process of cutting, replacing etc (i cannot do that myself and hiring a pool company is time and money consuming in my area). This idea of putting the union together from two parts is amazing. They fit nicely together and the fix took me about 5 minutes. I did it after cleaning the salt cell and have never had such and easy time fastening it before. It was about a month ago, just waited with the review to test for any leaking etc, so fas so good. The OEM salt cell union nuts break every couple of years for me. Last time I replaced them I had to cut off the old ones and glue new unions back in. That is such a pain. These are a much easier fix. Giving 5 stars but I don't know how they will hold up over time.
