Shields very well when doing overhead MIG 10 gauge. I was burning trough gloves and this kept my hand cool and hand protection from burning to a crisp.

If you are using Flux core these shields only last a few days of welding before they are broken down.  TIG, and stick welding I get a few weeks out of the shield.  However I am welding 8-10 hours a day so having that In mind they work great for the average home/farm welder.  I still buy them and use them in my shop because my gloves last longer and I have less heat burns on my hands lolJK Fabrication

This is a cheap product and will not last forever. being aluminum coated the foil easily melts off with hot weld Spackle flying everywhere and the edges fray quickly. For the price it does its job for a while, which is keeping your hand protected from the heat of welding allowing me to complete numerous vertical and overhead passes without having to worry about burning my hand because i would up in a position where my hand was a little close or I want to finish the stick to get my tie-ins where I want them. You get what you pay for and this is 5 stars for the cost.
