I would tell you to buy this product if you do a lot of things at home or even at your job. This table is very solid and built well for a table kit. The clamps work great, the table does not wiggle once the leveling feet are adjusted. The quality if the top is great and it comes with a nice veriety of fixturing accessories. It looks very nice and is big enough to handle decent size parts, and if you are pressed for space it can be stored in a corner just by picking it up and move it without needing help to do so. I bought casters with metric threads so my tables can be moved around the shop. Major upgrade for useability. **Q: Are the holes threaded?** A: The holes are not threaded. **Q: What will clean off the varnished oil? Received with styrofoam glued to top and bottom of table. Gooey mess!** A: They use a form of cosmoline to protect the surface from rust. I would use acetone to clean - acetone is good stuff to keep in the shop for degreasing metal before welding so you should have a gallon of it anyway. Paint thinner or any of the "green" solvents (409, orange, etc...) do not really work on any real tasks like this. If the acetone is not working, you can use Brake Cleaner but that is very nasty stuff. In any case, work with good ventilation - outside if possible, windows and doors open with a fan if not. The smell lingers so do not get it into your house or living quarters. One other option is to use a caustic paint remover - the kind you brush on and scrape off. Again, nasty stuff. Finally, be sure to coat the surface with a thin coat of oil to keep it from rusting. I use coconut oil - works great and totally non-toxic. **Q: can I store my welder on the shelf below the top or do you need clearance to secure the clamps and fittings?** A: Bob. Depends on the size of your welder. I would not put it there. Slag and grinding dust will trash your welder. Put your clamps and hardware in amo boxes and put them there. I’m very new to welding and the first table I got (different kind) made everything more difficult that it should have been. This table solved all those issues. The table top does well to ground the part you’re working on without needing to clamp directly to the part. The included table attachments are very handy and I’ve used them a lot.
