However, I have a had a couple planted in 'semi-shade' and they are looking good. They are hardy and remember to cut them back quite hard when they have finished flowering and they come the following year even better! You can always split them and plant else where in your garden or give them to friends. **Q: Can I plant straight into ground ?** A: Iā€™m more or less certain if large plug plants, they can go straight in the ground. Smaller plug plants are potted on until they get big enough to plant in the ground. **Q: Does this plant attract bees?** A: Because the flower is open it allows easy access for the bees to the pollen in the centre.
