My cabinet has the middle piece so I had to assemble the rack in the cabinet, but that was no problem, I measured well before I ordered. All pans are Calphalon classic so they are large with large lids, so I was only able to put in my three skillets and two large sauté pans on one side, and my stock pot on the other side with three more brackets to spare. Very pleased. I put my sauce pans on the half shelf in the cabinet back behind the rack. Very well constructed, very easy to assemble. The only matter I'm unclear about or cannot agree with, is the weight bearing of 9 pounds? I guess that means for the entire unit as a whole. I will say that each of the shelves has an unexpected amount of give, and it is not because my pans are heavy. All in all the pans are not heavy. So I am unsure what that 9 pounds of weight bearing actually encompasses. Do your measurements and if you have the space I'd definitely recommend buying. If I find that I have room, I will buy another one just for lids and some old skillets.
