The only exception is that it is not lined so it may not be waterproof. The rope handle is also a bit lighter in weight which I think is a good thing as the Kavu ropes are too heavy. I usually wear cross body purses and hadn't found a sling bag with a design I loved enough to make the jump. I ran across this one and it was inexpensive and the design called my name.
