I'm after nearer to 45 degrees than 90 degrees which is what we have currently. Thanks.** A: Hi, It isn't the handle but the latch that affects the degree of travel. If your lever only has 45deg travel but your existing latch requires 60 deg to retract fully then you wont open the door. What you need is a tubular latch with 45 deg travel. Zoo Hardware ZTLKA64 or 76 (depending on length required) has a 45 deg travel. **Q: Just want to replace identical plate/handle that have become tarnished over the years, is it just a case of swapping over ?** A: Yes generally if you have bought the exact match. I would recommend you carefully cut the paint around the handles if the door has been painted since the handles added to avoid any peeling back and if its an hollow core door you may need to replug the holes.
