The reviews are mixed but the photographs look pretty good so I ordered 3 sets (6 chairs in all). They all came on different days. One box was in pretty good shape, The second box was delivered in a second box with another ordered item. The interior box was in bad shape but the chairs were protected. The third box was also delivered in another box because the original box was in shambles and parts were coming out of the box (the top was completely ripped off - poor cardboard I think). And 2 legs had fallen out somewhere along the line. So I am short 2 legs which, I assume, the vendor will replace. That said all of the materials were intact (except the 2 legs) and all seem to be in good shape. All hardware was was there too. (inside the bottom of each chair seat. There are 9 Allen head bolts for each chair. An Allen wrench is included with each chair so you can install the chair without additional tools. However, if you have, or can obtain an Allen head wrench tool for your electric drill this will speed the assembly up VERY considerably. We really like the look and feel of these new chairs. They have the appearance of rich dark brown leather. And seem sturdy enough for reasonable use. The dark brown legs are uncovered stained wood. susceptible to dings but can be easily daubed with a suitable furniture stain repair stick. The chairs are a little shorter (2.5 inches) than the Parson's chairs they replace but still nice and easy to lean back on. Given the price we like them very much and we are very happy with our purchase. (If the vendor comes up with replacement legs). Went together smoothly and easily (not quickly). Legs are expresso color. There is 1" solid wood framing underneath, 9 bolts per chair for solidity, and ample padding on the seat and back. Very comfortable and attractive. Arrived in 2 days! via UPS in perfect condition. The product is wonderful and the price is wonderful and the workmanship is wonderful! Very happy. I would say to follow the directions carefully, because even if they all look the same, each chair has one shorter bolt for the center back of the seat. If you use the longer one there, it can go through the back fabric. And look inside the front leg to be sure that the tapped screw hole is facing in, not out. If you do this, they will not wobble at all. Legs always loosen. One leg broke. Not for people over 5'2"" or 150 lbs. nice looking chairs as others have said. I got two lemons out of 6 chairs. One clearly had shorter leg and it wabbled. Another was missing a drilled hole as others have said. I never got it to tighten correctly after I tried to drill a hole. These chairs are pretty cheaply made. I hope they hold up. In addition, they are very petite. They are not like the similar ones from pottery barn. If you wear bigger than a size 10/12 pants...your butt will spill over the edge. They are also not very tall on the back. They are good for eating a meal but not lounging for longer periods of time around the table. I replaced the two defective ones...I hope they are better. Update 2- How can I return these?
