Install was easy and only requires that you remove the rear tail lights to piggy back off the electrical connections for your trailer. What you end up with is a nice looking 4 pole trailer connector that zip ties nicely and out of the way. Same product they use at UHaul and if you're willing to spend 15 min installing it yourself you can save a bundle.With the 2011-2013 Jeep Grand Cherokees the only strange part was removing the tail lights. 2 plastic pins come out which you can use a flat screwdriver to help remove, then you have to pop out the tail light. At first you feel like you're going to break the tail light but don't worry it just requires a bit of pulling. No damage will happen as it snaps in place. Older style tail lights had all screws, whereas the new ones have 2 plastic snap/plugs and then snap into place.
