I decided to see if I could buy them directly from Old Vienna and, lo and behold, you can. A 56-bag case can be purchased for about $21 on Old Vienna’s website, or about $0.38 per 1 oz bag. They charge heavily to ship it to you via UPS, though. Tack on another $20 or so, and you’re looking at about $41 per case of 56, or about $0.75 per 1 oz bag. Compare that to the nearly $2 per bag through this seller, and the insane is clear. I don’t know if you really need 56 bags of these chips all at once, so if you need to moderate yourself and buy a smaller quantity then buying through desertcart is probably your best bet even at the inflated cost. However, from a pure cost per unit perspective this makes no sense whatsoever and you’re better off buying them directly from Old Vienna especially if you have multiple people in your house that you can share these with.
