To my utmost despair, she went into congestive heart failure a few days after the surgery and died before this item arrived. I donated it to the animal hospital that her vet worked at for someone else to use. It is a soft and nicely made recovery suit that is good for dogs & cats. If your cat or dog is scheduled for surgery, order this in advance so you have it available after surgery. FYI: Those cones (E-collar) do not prevent them from scratching the wounds with their paws or back legs! They only stop them from licking or biting them! They often can pull them off! My chihuahua had her surgery on 9/3/19. I ordered this on 9/5/19 and it arrived after she passed on 9/7/19! I wish I had gotten it in advance. The doctor said we needed to make sure the bandages and stitches stayed clean, dry and untouched. She wanted to scratch it and if she had the recovery suit she wouldn’t be able to get to it. It is light, it is soft, my cat is a little demon child when people try putting things on her esp now she’s sore but this was a breeze! It went on so fast she hardly had time to put up a fight and she’s a small cat but i bought her the large and it fit perfectly so get a size or two up from what you’d expect probably but this is cute and super functional she can use the bathroom in it etc. I am so glad I got this for her as she’s healing from being spayed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Much better than the cone! *by B***A on Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2020* Our kitty had surgery on her abdomen and was sent home with a cone. This is so much better...It fits snug, but has stretch and is breathable. The design is great that it goes around the neck first, because I made a homemade onesie, just to tie our girl over until this arrived, but she got out of that one...several times! Once I put this on, she accepted it easily and seemed more content with this over the homemade one. There’s also plenty of room in the back opening, for her to go to the bathroom without it getting in the way.Two tips of advice: 1. Buy two just in case one gets soiled or dirty, so you have a backup; and 2. Consider washing it before putting it on, so the kitty’s skin doesn’t absorb the dyes.I would only dry this on low-heat, or let it air dry...a hand washing and a blow dryer is a quick fix if you’re in a bind and only have one.If you have a persistent cat that is trying to get at the wound (through the onesie), try a non-adhesive sterile bandage on the inside of the onesie, and change it daily to keep the wound clean and free of bacteria.
