It has a better low-end response than the Rode mini. The deadcat works as expected. Also, the base is pretty sturdy. Doesn't feel like it will break or have any issues holding the mic. This audio is really not that great. It is on par with my built in cell phone mics and worse than my Sony camera built in mic. I even made sure that the phones were recording from the mic by lightly tapping on the mic and making sure it was picked up by the recording app. They also said they were recording from external mic. I was trying to avoid buying a Rode but I guess I should just take the plunge and do it anyways because this thing is just not up to the task.
