Review: This pack is TOTALLY worth it! - I used this along with the Chemical Guys Clay Bar kit, autolock polishing pads, and chemical guys ceramic wax (see attached photos). I also used my husband's dewalt orbital sander with the pads & polish. I have taken my vehicle through car washes but I will admit I probably havent done it enough over the years. Especially since we dont have a garage or car port to shade our vehicles from the elements, and my work parking is uncovered as well. So, my van has taken A LOT of sun over the years as well as ALL the seasons and their respective elements. I have never had the outside of my van detailed before either, nor have I ever done it myself. Overall, I didn't realize how much work goes into detailing lol. Especially, since I could only do this for a couple hours in the morning and evening. And like I mentioned earlier I dont have a covered area to do this. You can't do detailing in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces. So this ENTIRE process took me two days by myself: washing, clay bar, polishing, & waxing. Considering my van is a 2016 it now looks almost brand new. I never realized how faded my paint was looking. It took my father-in-law pointing out a SERIOUS problem area just below the front of my hood to realize it needed some serious TLC - see photos. I lot of minor scratches ended up getting polished out, but there are a few severe ones that are still there. That isnt all that surprising though. And between this polish & the wax I used my paint looks and feels much smoother than before. The steps are very easy to follow on each bottle, and the volume of each bottle makes the price well worth the purchase. At first I thought it was a little pricey for four bottles. However, after using the product, seeing how much is used, & how much is remaining it was well worth the purchase. Holy moly can you see the difference in my paint! That major problem area just below my hood is practically gone. Along with the bad areas by my front driver & passenger windows. My father-in-law saw my van after (we bought the house next to him lol) I was done & he said it practically looks like a whole new vehicle. I am going to take this kit to those areas again just before winter. I believe that next detailing will completely restore those severe areas. I just cannot believe how good my van looks now. I highly recommend this product.
Review: Wow, this stuff works well! - About 6 months after I got a new truck I took it off-roading, rolling down narrow trails for about 8 hours. Branches often scrapped the sides of the truck leaving hundreds of superficial scratches. Fortunately, nothing that wouldn't buff out. I had some MacG*****, you know the product. I had enough to do one side of the truck. Worked my way through 4 different "grits". It took a couple hours+ but it removed most of the scratches. I wanted to try out this product so I bought the 4 pack and used it to do the other side of the truck. Chemical Guys recommended using the lightest grit first to reduce how much paint gets removed. Okay, I tried it. One pass removed 90% of the scratches. Second pass, they were 99% removed. Doing the whole side of the truck took a half hour or so and left the truck much more shiny than the other side. I was really impressed. It was a little harder to wipe off than the other product but worked so much better it more than made up for the time. I didn't intend this to be a side-by-side comparison, I just wanted the scratches out of my truck's paint. Running out of product halfway just made it work out to be exactly that, a side by side comparison. I found it works much better than the other stuff. The most aggressive grit is quite aggressive, you may not need to buy the 4 pack, you might just get by with the least 1 or 2 aggressive levels depending on what you're buffing out. I also do woodworking, I turn pens on a lathe for fun and profit and I use this product to shine up CA glue finish and resin castings. I had similar results to my experience with the truck. It worked so much better than the McG product. It really reduced my sanding time. I used to go through all the micro-mesh pads then use McG, now I sand to 600 and just use the Chemical Guys product, done! I will absolutely be buying this again. Funny thing, it's easier to buy on desertcart than the Chemical Guys website. They'd been out for months when i thought to check desertcart and was surprised to find it available. So, bottom line, this is a really good product and well worth the extra money. You may not need such an aggressive grit though so you might consider just getting the lightest grit first and trying it out. Good luck and happy buffing.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What does each do? is it worth the price to buy?**
A: They work on paint and clearcoat about the same way different grades of sandpaper work on wood. You start with a more abrasive 'starting' compound which removes noticeable issues in your car's paint. However, doing this will leave obvious swirl marks all over your car. Ever see a car that when the light hits it the right way, the sides have obvious orbital buffer marks all along the side? That's because the detailer only did the first step and then waxed it.To avoid that problem you move to the next, less abrasive, compound to remove the marks that the previous compound left. Each compound smooths the paint out a bit more, and eventually you end up with a glass-like surface. It's a bit of work. Even with an orbital polisher it will likely take you an hour for each step. And you WILL need an orbital polisher unless you have forearms that would make Popeye jealous. The point is that your car will only look its best if you get the paint as smooth and blemish-free as possible BEFORE you put on any wax. Wax will only protect the paint. It won't make it look better, aside from being a little shinier for a few days. If you follow this procedure your car can look stunning for weeks or months. I have a 13 year old Audi with black paint (easily the hardest paint to keep looking good). I've been doing this procedure since it was brand new, and people still frequently tell me how nice my car looks. Also note that the heavier cutting compounds might only be needed once. If you get the paint smoothed out, AND take care of it (wash and clean it with decent quality microfiber cloths only), you should be able to skip the first one or two steps of this package from then on and only need to use the lighter compounds on subsequent detail jobs. For that reason, it might not make sense to buy a regular size bottle of the heavy duty stuff.

**Q: Will the sample sizes (4 oz.) be adequate to correct paint on a 2012 infiniti g37 sedan with moderate paint? going in with a da polisher and hexlogic.**
A: Hi Kevin, the sample sizes should be plenty of product to finish your vehicle. You only use 4 -5 pea size drops on the hexlogic pads.Start with the orange cutting pad and use V34 cutting polish. Follow this with the white pad and V36. Finish with the black polishing pad and V38 polishing compound. Here are some videos that may also be of help from www.Chemicalguys.comhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5qtEUpVrSMscroll down to view the other how to videos.http://www.chemicalguys.com/HOW_TO_ARTICLES_s/338.htmI use the products to restore headlights with great results.Hope this was helpful. Ken

**Q: how many cars can you detail with 4oz ?**
A: I was wondering the same thing, but I just did a comparison with other products I've been using for a while. Generally, the off-the-shelf polishes and glazes come in 8oz bottles. These are half that size. I do a full detail of my car twice a year and usually get 3 years out of a bottle... 6 full jobs. So, I'm betting that you'd get 3 or 4 full details out of each bottle in this kit.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing. Next up was the Leather
*by U***K on August 14, 2017*

HUGE THANKS to the Chemical Guys! Wicked products! The Sequoia is almost 8yrs old with 125K miles on it. The paint has been fading and oxidizing badly over the past few years. Its washed regularly, and has been detailed several times. Each detailer the past few years has stated that the paint is gone and the truck would need to be painted in order to restore that shine and new car look. So a few months ago, I purchased the TORQ Tool Company BUF501X 10FX Kit as well as following products: - Chemical Guys GAP_VKIT_16 V Line Polish and Compound Kit (16 oz) (V32, 34, 36 and V38) - Chemical Guys BUF_301_16 Polishing and Buffing Pad Conditioner - Chemical Guys SPI_109_16 Leather Cleaner and Conditioner Complete Leather Care Kit - Chemical Guys WAC_201_16 Butter Wet Wax (16 oz) It was a LONG 2 days, but the results speak for themselves. Washed the car with water only, then started in on it. Started with the V32, then V36, then V38, followed by the Butter Wet Wax. Below are some before and after pictures of the door (Oxidized VS Finished) and the second... Is the difference just between the V38 and Butter Wet Wax steps. You can see how much clearer the reflections are. Amazing. Next up was the Leather... WOW, night and day difference. The seats were last cleaned about 8mo ago (expensive name brand from auto parts store)... they have never been this clean! The hood photo... well, the hood was oxidized worst of all and now you can clearly see cloud reflections!! THANKS Chemical Guys! #customerforlife #lookslikenew
