Review: Good quality umbrella - Not used it properly yet but it does definitely feel significantly more solid than a lot of the compact umbrellas I’ve seen before. Will update this when I’ve had a chance to use it in windy & rainy conditions! The colour is maybe slightly lighter than in the photos but it’s still the same kind of classy desaturated burgundy so it looks really good! The material is also noticeably thick and good quality which is really lovely. The feel of the handle is also really nice, it has that matte feel to it and while it’s definitely plastic, I wouldn’t call it “plasticky” at all! They’ve definitely paid attention to the details with it, as it’s all finished quite nicely and there aren’t any weird gaps where water might pool or anything. About the same difficulty of closing as other umbrellas of this design (so kinda hard for me but I have twig arms lol)

A: Depends what you mean by gale-force but I live in Scotland which can be very stormy and have had no problems with this product.

A: Don't know the exact weight but it's a lot heavier than a normal umbrella.

**Q: The button doesn’t work so the umbrella doesn’t close, how can I close it?**
A: My button didn’t close the umbrella first time. Now it closes the material half, you then hold each end in separate hands and push the lower half of the stem Into the top half.

My original umbrella has lasted 20 months and I now have 2 since someone helpfully tidied it away without telling me and I thought I had lost it. The red colour is smart and easy to distinguish. It is more sturdy than many similar I have owned. I wouldn't recommend it for very heavy winds as the span is not great and it will blow out - but it at least when it has done so it has not broken. It is compact and easy to store. Not the quickest for drying. For the price it has to be good value.
