A: No

**Q: Can I use this motor to run a centrifugal fan wheel? In other words, can I use it as a general purpose electric motor?**
A: No. Too fast for fan duty. Fan/blower blades not stressed for this speed. You need a 1725 rpm motor.

**Q: can the speed be controlled with rheostat
 ?**
A: Motors of this size CANNOT be speed controlled. Nothing over about 1/20 hp can be speed controlled. A larger motor will get hot enough to burn up if it's speed controlled because the amps go up .

**Q: Is this counterclockwise facing the back of the motor or facing the shaft part of the motor?**
A: Counterclockwise when facing the shaft.
