The feel is absolutely wonderful - it is super soft The material has large strands that stand up until you step on them and then lay nicely on top of each other creating a very premium plush feel to it.2. The backing is great - It holds in place on my floor very well without sliding around.3. The size, this mat is perfect! You don't have to try to "stay on the mat" when you get out of the shower. I am 88 years old, have neuropathic feet, so I am highly sensitive to what i stand on in my bare feet. The KMAT bath rug is soft and comfortable to stand and walk on. It is adequately absorbent of water, and looks good in my bathroom. The color is a little darker than I would like but it works. The size is slightly smaller than I was seeking but it works. The price is reasonable for the quality.
