I did file down the powder on the blade itself to help. May not have been needed. Mower abounds healthy when engaged and no excess vibrations.these are pretty decent on thickness, but I have seen thicker. I use these for mulch & standard discharge,... unless u want special extra features on a mulch only blade. The 50in deck design typically leaves a 3in wide light strip of mulched debris that is not the fault of this blade, or the OEM blades. Unlike some reviews, I do not mow over gravel or rocks if I can help it as I know that the high rpm & efficient suck of this deck will pick up loose gravel, ding & dull the blades cutting edges.
