During winter storage I sprayed the brass head with WD40 to limit any corrosions from my city & well water **Q: Will this work well with a well?** A: I used it with my well, but it has a 50psi limiter in it. It doesn't matter a are literally fell off, this sprinkler is cheaply made not worth it plus amazons warranty is only for 30 days. I ordered 3 of them and treat the 2 left with kid gloves. These only look good but not worth the money. Would stay away from these and be wary of any item that only has a 30 day warranty.
