I was fooled by the $25 price and brass floats with local kits running $50 with half the parts. Not one part was usable. The top gasket would need major modifications to be usable, the accelerator pump piston didn't even touch the cylinder walls, the floats were so big if used there would be no fuel left to run the engine, the float seats would not even thread into the body. The most usable part of this kit is the box it came in. And yes, the seller indicated that this kit fit my carburetor by model number, 1406. As info the only difference in the modern day AFB carburetor, beside part numbers, does it have a manual or electric choke and which metering rods and jets it has, all other parts are exchangeable between model numbers.
