My expectations were pretty basic: soft enough not to irritate my feet after a day in shoes, and grippy enough that I wouldn't slip on hardwood or tile when grabbing a late-night snack. After wearing them around the house for a week—mostly padding between my desk and the kitchen, plus a couple quick runs to take out the trash—they feel surprisingly good right away.
