Review: Everything you need to know about trim right here! - This is a great product. I bought 2 to replace shower controls in a 45 year old mobile home. BUT, you need to know all the following: - The hot and cold control valves are ceramic valves that do not use traditional valve seats (small conical brass part that can be screwed into the mixer body). In fact, the body does not have a threaded receiver for a valve seat. Instead it has a flat, smooth surface for the ceramic control valve to seat on - which means it will only work with the ceramic control valves that come with it. - There is not a complete trim kit that fits this mixer valve. Even the very few Pfister says will work, won’t. That is because every complete trim kit is designed to fit the valves included in the kit - and none of the kits out there (and I looked at a bazillion of them) include ceramic control valves. They ALL include traditional valves with screw in valve seats. You can buy replacement ceramic valves by themselves but not in a trim kit. - To complete the trimming on this, you must buy flange/tube kits separately from the handles. There are only a few different flange/tube kits that fit the included ceramic control valves. The Danco 10307 (see pic) is really cheap, looks great, and fits the ceramic control valves perfectly. Those come in chrome or brushed nickel. You can buy the flanges separately from the tubes (as suggested in another review) but you will pay a LOT more. - Once you have flanges and tubes covering the valves, you have to find handles with 12 notches to fit the end of the control valves. They are fairly common but can be kinda expensive. I bought a complete trim kit (control valves, flanges, tubes, and handles) for less than three separate handles from the big box store. I tossed the valves, flanges, & tubes and kept the handles. Search for “Verve handles” and there are some reasonable options available. Do not try to use a traditional control valve from a complete kit in this mixer. While they appear to fit without using the conical seat, they do not seat well on the flat surface in the body - and will leak. I found a review where someone did that and complained that it leaked. Hopefully this information will help you move forward. I guess I need to qualify my “everything you need to know” statement: “Everything you need to know for Verve or verve-like trim” would be more accurate. I can’t really speak to other types of handles. I don’t know why they make it so difficult to get trim that fits this body - but who knows why people do stupid things anyway.
Review: Good Quality - Recommended for the Pfister vintage shower knobs kit. Good quality.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: are the valves all brass or do they have plastic on them?**
A: All brass and the knobs that go with them are very heavy duty nice finish. If you dropped one from 10 feet and it hit someone in the head I think they would die. Lol there is plastic protection sleeves on them for shipping that get thrown out. I don't buy crap so if someone got a faulty valve I would say it was a fluke or user error especially 6x come on. Really?

**Q: Does it compatible with Pfister 910-374?**
A: Yes.

**Q: My tub and shower has the old fashioned bathroom inch and half thick tile walls. Are the stems long enough to mount the knobs?**
A: YES! in fact same here. installs easily and you may have to buy new knobs due to the length of stems!

**Q: Can this be used to divert water between two shower heads?**
A: As I understand it, the middle handle diverts water one way or the other. What is on the end is your choice: shower head, tub spout or handheld shower, so two shower heads should work fine.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent value, with Pfister's lifetime support.

So far it's a quality product, and Pfister will replace valves for the life of the item. A lot of negative reviews mentioning that "it's just the valve", but... um, yeah people, it's just the valve, it will accept different sorts of trim which you purchase separately. It's the valve body and the three valves, and install hardware for the supply lines - that's it. A note on installing these - you have the options for supply piping of 1/2" thread, or 1/2" copper sweat. The instructions say "iron pipe" for the threaded connection, but that's going to end up giving you rust in the water. But if you sweat copper for these, it's a difficult joint and any drips of solder on the surface of the fitting will cause leaks. So your options would be 1/2" brass pipe nipples (expensive), or 1/2" copper threaded fitting, and sweat to copper pipe, then screw into the valve body. That's really the way to go IMO, it's a less picky sweat job, and some tape + dope on the threads and you'll get a good, leak-free seal. You can sweat a PEX fitting to the other end of that supply pipe if your home uses PEX. I'd give this 5 stars but it seems a little pricey for what it is, a mid-grade builder's valve.
