However the material is not very thick and if you are attempting to cover a darker or patterned pillow you will probabbly be able to see through the case. I had this issue and put the pillow in a cheap neutral pillow case and then put the cover on. They look great, exactly what I wanted. The metallic look to them is completely gone, the feathers are cracking, and the gold paint has turned green.
