Beautiful cover, cute and quirky illustrations, and Portland of course! I like the wide variety of meatless or almost-so dishes, and easy-sounding (to me, anyway) takes on things like quick pickled veggies and salads on a stick, which cracked my husband up, right before he asked if we could make the 'potato salad' one for lunches. I even got two or three good tips in general right away, like using a pizza cutter to cut pita bread for chips; and multiple clever uses for the various sized mason jars I've accumulated. I also enjoyed the section on making and bottling your own drinks; we are beer people and empty bottles and a manual bottle capper are super easy to obtain.
