We replaced a bulkier piece of furniture with this. She loves the upholstery which eliminates the need for a bed skirt. The roll out slats are much better quality than I guessed they would be. In order to keep the minimalist look, she did not want to use a box spring. She has a memory foam mattress and we expected to squeeze the rollout boards together and purchase boards cut to fit to fill in the space so the foam wouldn’t ‘sag’ through the space in between the wood slats. The spaces in between the slats is minimal and the fabric connecting them is high grade. I bought it for my California king size bed and even though it has the middle support when you sit on the ends in the middle of the bed it bows down so bad it’s squeaks.
