Review: Good for roses and protecting your watch! - Very happy with these. I have very short fingers, yet wide and most gloves are ridiculous on me. These were a good fit! Live the length and I’ve been table to trim my roses with ease. Occasionally a thorn will poke through the material, but it’s rare. They have held up through mud and being hosed off multiple times. Other reviewers are correct though, they are not waterproof. But my other gloves aren’t either so I don’t really mind. I also bought these because the shorter gloves don’t cover my Apple Watch and I was tired of getting dirt on it. Problem solved!

**Q: How do I know if medium glove will fit?**
A: I found this on Better Homes & Gardens:
"Guide to Fitting For the best fit, try on leather and cloth gloves before you buy. Make a fist and check for any pinching or bulky seams. If trying on isn't possible, hold your hand flat and measure around your hand knuckles (minus thumb) to determine the right size. Then use this general garden glove guide to fit for sizing.
6-1/2 to 7-1/4 inches: Small
7-1/2 to 7-3/4 inches: Medium
8 to 8-3/4 inches: Large
9 to 9-3/4 inches: X-large
10 to 10-3/4 inches: XX-large

**Q: Are these gloves machine washable? I'm looking for protection from poison ivy and want to be able to wash them after use**
A: The other person that responded to your question must have gotten a different pair, because the sleeves on mine are leather just like the hands. Poison ivy has an oil that attaches to everything. thats why ist so hard to get off. If it were me Id get a pair of heavy duty cleaning gloves, you can find them in walmart or grocery stores. If you need these gloves for roses or other gardening they are great. They tend to run small so get a size bigger then you would normally.

**Q: Is there a size chart? How would one know what size to purchase?**
A: I have glove size 7.5 and ordered medium. Good fit

**Q: could you get these wet and then let them dry out?**
A: I have gotten them slightly wet on the outside and let them dry, but I did not turn them inside out.  I am not sure if you got them really, really wet if they could be turned inside out easily. One probably could put them in the dryer on low for awhile though.

I'm so glad I ordered these. They really come in handy when pruning my roses and Barberry bushes. Ocassionally a thorn will get thru, but it's rare. I wear them sometimes when just doing yardwork like pulling weeds or deadheading flowers because the length comes far up my arms and keeps the sun, spiders, bees and other insects off my arms. Worth the price.
