It was weeks and two trips to the doctor with a itchy, painful rash before I figured out what was triggering it. There isn't a cure as the body has to work the gluten out of the system. I tried cortisone (in varying strengths) and other OTC ointments which didn't really help.I eliminated wheat (and it's in everything) from my diet, but it takes months for the skin to heal. In those first few days, the rash was so painful and the only thing that helped was putting real honey on it.....helpful, but not practical. I searched Amazon for a cream that contained honey. This one met my need. From the moment I put it on, it felt cooling and soothing.. I really think it was effective in repairing my skin as it healed. I liked that it was not greasy and I could get dressed after application. A little goes a long way. I am not saying it healed my gluten rash by itself.. Nothing can do that except for total elimination of gluten and its related products. I can say, however, this cream really helped to sooth and repair my skin. I used up the first jar because my breakout was head to toe.
