I have a pretty extensive knowledge of reggae, and a lot of this stuff was new to me; even better, a lot of these little-know gems are totally classic - great songs and performances. A lot of it is on the "earthier" side of 60's Jamaican music, even combining some Nyahbinghi drumming with a more commercial sound on some tracks, with some glorious rough edges left in. It's a lot of music (54 tracks) and the quality is amazingly high for so much music that manages to avoid obvious choices.
