The 3pin plug that came with m2 air power adapter shockingly doesn't have the 3rd pin grounded. So you'll feel a slight tingling sensation while working with the laptop. This cable eliminates this issue because the cable's other end does have a connection to the round tab on the apple adapter. Really disappointed from apple to remove such a basic thing. Which would also mean people will have to buy a cable from apple to get rid of this issue!! As most Apple users will tell you , whether they are Iphone or Mac type users , trying to find quality gear , that is just good as what Apple offers , is not always easy . However , Zasun have put together a very decent cable , and it only cost Β£10 . I was switching from my old Macbook and Ipad power supply , pulling the cable off to use between two units , that was getting tedious , so I purchased another cable , problem solved . Have a look at the pictures also , compare with the original Macbook cable , it is the one with red cable tie , the new cable is the one with the shiny silver looking pins , it is also came in a nice cardboard box , easy to open , and of course re-use or recycle. The quality really is good , it's exactly what I expect , nice thick cable , just like my original , and a thick style proper UK plug. Nothing more to say . Tried it in both devices , and no issues . Of course , if any issues arise , I will update my review accordingly.
