However, the steel is too springy and it doesn't generate enough force to clip nails well. You can easily get it on your thick toenail, but as you squeeze it, the material bends so much that it won't cut. As a test, I took another more traditional toenail clipper and tried to cut the corner off an old credit card. Worked easily with no issues. Then I used the Vixen. The clipper was totally compressed as far as it would go, but it could not generate enough force to clip the corner off the credit card. Usually I have to get those power chopping clippers that look like wire cutters involved at some point, but not with these. They are heavy duty, razor sharp, easy to use and even let me trim and shape the sides of each toenail. Recommend
