That's what I needed! Most chair covers seem to be intended to replace the original covering (for old and damaged chairs). My chairs are new, and just need a little protection until my young son gets old enough to stop dropping his spaghetti and red sauce between his legs. These covers don't require removing the original cushion for installing the covers, like others do.. The elastic fits easily over the chair, covering the top and sides of the cushion. But they look like exactly what they are-- removable coverings. There's a small gap toward the back of the chair cushion where the cover slips on, so you can see the original cushion a bit. No one will think this is your original cushion, so if that's your intent, this is not the right product for you. For me, it was so HARD to find covers like these -- easy on, easy off. I had been using towels to cover my chairs, and these look much better. I slide them right on when my son's young friends are coming over, and I take them off when they leave!
