Designed for 5–10 players ages 13 and up, the game keeps everyone engaged the entire time thanks to its no elimination structure. Each round challenges players to interpret behaviors, analyze speech, and determine who among them can be trusted. Every mission assignment creates new layers of suspicion as spies attempt to sabotage the group while resistance fighters work to expose them. The Resistance is built around quick, meaningful turns that emphasize player interaction. Each vote, accusation, and mission outcome fuels dramatic table talk and shifting alliances. The science fiction setting adds thematic tension as teams navigate political unrest, covert operations, and escalating uncertainty. Whether you enjoy strategic logic, psychological reads, or bold table presence, The Resistance excels at creating memorable moments that feel different every play. As part of the Dystopian Universe alongside Coup, the game expands a beloved world of espionage, political turmoil, and high stakes conflict. Groups can dive deeper into the setting or simply enjoy a standalone experience rich with replayability. From the Manufacturer The Resistance pits a small group of resistance fighters against a powerful and corrupt government. The resistance has launched a series of bold and daring missions to bring the government to its knees. Unfortunately spies have infiltrated the resistance ranks, ready to sabotage the carefully crafted plans. Even a single spy can take down a resistance mission team, choose your teams carefully or forever lose your chance for freedom. The Resistance artfully balances pure deduction elements with the social elements into a game that creates the adrenaline filled moments of high stakes pokerin a full interactive and social event. ## Features - DIVE INTO SOCIAL DEDUCTION – Step into a tense world of spies and resistance fighters where players test strategic thinking, bluffing, and negotiation skills across fast rounds filled with suspicion and intrigue. - NON STOP GAMEPLAY FOR EVERYONE – Enjoy a hidden role experience with no player elimination, ensuring all players stay involved until the end as they lie, detect deception, and uncover shifting alliances. - IDEAL FOR STRATEGY AND BLUFFING FANS – Combining deduction, tactical communication, and immersive tension, The Resistance delivers a dramatic science fiction themed challenge for groups who love mind games. - EPIC GAME NIGHTS AWAIT – Hidden roles, team missions, and tight decision making encourage spirited table talk, strategic coordination, and replayability for families, friends, and hobby gamers alike. - PART OF THE DYSTOPIAN UNIVERSE – Set within the larger Coup and Resistance world, this game introduces political intrigue, covert operations, and escalating stakes as players navigate loyalty and betrayal. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B008A2BA8G | | Age Range Description | Teen, Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #26,302 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #460 in Dedicated Deck Card Games | | Brand Name | Indie Boards and Cards | | CPSIA Cautionary Statement | Choking Hazard - Small Parts | | Color | Blue and White | | Customer Package Type | Standard Packaging | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 3,374 Reviews | | Educational Objective | Coordination | | Estimated Playing Time | 30 minutes | | Genre | Party | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00722301926178 | | Included Components | Resistance (The Dystopian Universe) The 3rd Edition | | Item Dimensions | 8 x 1.75 x 6 inches | | Item Dimensions L x W | 7.9"L x 5.9"W | | Item Highlight | Social Deduction Strategy Game of Bluffing, Deception, Negotiation, Party for 5–10 Players Ages 13+, 30 Minute Rounds | | Item Part Number | PSIIBCRES2 | | Item Type Name | Game | | Item Weight | 0.3 kg | | Language | English | | Manufacturer | Publisher Services Inc (PSI) | | Manufacturer Part Number | RES2IBC | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | No Warranty | | Manufacturer recommended age | 13 years and up | | Material Type | Cardboard | | Minimum Age Recomendation | 156 | | Model Number | RES2IBC | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Players | 5 to 10 | | Operation Mode | Manual | | Set Name | The Resistance | | Size | 8 inches (L) x 6 inches (W) x 1.75 inches (H) | | Subject Character | Resistance Fighters | | Supported Battery Types | No batteries required | | Theme | Mystery | | UPC | 064154779168 698887607971 772223979943 885376431548 722301926178 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Images ![Indie Boards & Cards The Resistance Card Game - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81ZNnFFI5XL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does this game remind you of any other game? My daughter seems to think it is like Coup.** A: I would call it a social hidden information game. This means it is in the same genre as werewolf/mafia, the One Night games, and One Room and a Boom, among others. It has no really gameplay simularities to Coup. I think of it as a highly refined version of mafia, with no player elimination and with no need for anyone to stay out of the game to narrate. **Q: "30 minutes of playtime" is listed as a feature of the game. What does that mean?** A: You can play several rounds, but one round/game takes about 30 minutes. More or less depending on how much debate there is. Super fun game! **Q: How's the game change with 5+ players? Is it either 5 OR 10, or can you have any #? More missions? Other changes?** A: Just want to add it would be relatively trivial to extend this game to 11+ if you had more people in the room. You'd have to make pieces of paper that have good guy/bad guy (Resistance/Spy) on them, for as many people as there are in the game, and you'd have to draw a little board on a piece of paper that has the proper round rules. The rules as you add players in the existing game follow a simple formula that's easy to extend if you just page through the 5 player to the 10 player. Basically round 1 is super easy for Resistance to win, and Round 5 is super easy for Spies to win, with some bumps in the middle. Don't cut people out just because of what's in the box! **Q: Do the cards fit in those standard size clear plastic deck protectors used for collectible card games?** A: I just tried this out with the deck protectors I use for my magic the gathering decks and the resistance cards fit in them just fine. They are a bit snug but can be both placed in and removed without difficulty or damage to the covers. ## Frequently Bought Together - The Resistance Card Game - Social Deduction, Strategy, Bluffing, Negotiation, and Deception for Teens and Adults - Party Game for 5-10 Players Ages 13+ in 30 Minute Rounds by Indie Boards & Cards - Coup - The Fast, Fun Bluffing Party Game for 2-6 Players.
