Review: Very sturdy - Easy to assemble. Heavy cast iron base. Great value.
Review: The Perfect Podcasting mic stand for a small space - I have a podcast and was looking for a mic stand that held a sizable microphone that was over 2 lbs, the EV RE320. I wanted something for a small desk that didn't take up a lot of room and provided a smooth swivel to made me feel like the mic was well supported and agile during my broadcast. The Stage Rocker mic stand fit the bill so nicely. I must have looked at at least 5 other versions online, but noticed the price of the Stage Rocker was half the price. I was skeptical because I noticed some reviewers said it was not that study, but for the price why not give it a shot. When I first tried it, I did not cock the mic stand backward so that the mic was positioned upward (the correct was to position the mic). I tried keeping it horizontal and it tipped a bit. Positioning it the correct way like the picture on desertcart is the way it should be and it ended up being an extremely sturdy product with a weighty base that provided everything I needed to feel secure with an expensive microphone for my talk show. PROS: - You can't beat the price. - The smooth swivel made me feel in control. - It holds nice a weighty radio mic and the base offered good support. - Small and compact for small spaces like a podcast on a desk CONS: - Even with a nice weighty base, I still wish it was just a bit heavier. - The swivel is really nice and smooth, but you can't be too rough with how you move the stand. I was provided a Stage Rocker mic stand to provide an honest and unbiased review of the product. Stage Rocker Powered by Hamilton SR610111 Bass Drum/Table Top Boom Mic Stand

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does anybody know the height distances, low and high, this can reach? I'd like to get this to record my acoustic in my very tiny room and need to know**
A: The height adjustment, measured from the top of the boom clamp to the base support surface, is 12" to 16.75". With tube and boom fully extended, the end of boom is 25.5" from base support surface.

**Q: Does this hold a shock mount?**
A: Yes. It holds any of the shock mounts I use: Blue Radius, ADK, AKG Neumann and several others and have no issues.

**Q: Would this work to put a mic for singing on top of my console piano?**
A: It should work well for that. The base is heavy enough that you can extend the boom to its full length, and it remains pretty stable. The bottom of the base is also metal, however, so you might want to set it on a piece of felt, or Plasti Dip the bottom to prevent scratching the finish on your piano.

**Q: How far does it extend? I want to use it with a samson go mic (mini) usb.**
A: From the base to the top including a ´mic socket´ it is 69,5cm or 27,36 inches.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just a little light.
*by I***T on October 9, 2014*

While others have written poor reviews and I would as well if parts were missing. However, everything arrived as it should have and worked like a charm. The only thing is the base is not heavy enough for a normal dynamic mic. It is close, but if you extend the arm all the way, it will fall over with a slight breeze. For what I need it for, interviewing guest at my desk for my podcast, I can place a counter weight on it and remedy that issue. I will end up getting a desk mount for it though then I wont have to worry about it.
