The package was labeled "Data Charging Audio Video Cable." I used the cable to establish a serial CLI session on a Brocade SAN switch, and it worked just fine. (A Brocade engineer had told me in the past that the Cisco compatible console cables would work just fine with their switches.) Can't speak to the longevity of the cable, but it does appear to be put together well.
