It is smooth and glossy to the touch, and really reflects light off of the sparkles well! It is about a shade or two darker than the picture, but that doesn’t bother me much. The only critique I have is that some of the edges on the case are a little sharp/rough from manufacturing. I’m sure over time they will buff out and not be so ridged.
