For some reason the white light excites them so I don’t use it. I’m thinking it’s too bright for them. A remote came with the light..very useful for changing color settings. I'm looking for lights that I can place under crystal gravel to make a "stream" in my 29 gal.** A: 30" is the length of the submersible part of the cord. You will need to secure it well as it wants to float up to the top of the tank. **Q: Can you bend this? i have a fountain with a vase like feature and would like to wrap led's around the base. would need a 12 inch circle.** A: I'm not sure why some thought this was a funny question. Obviously glass CAN be bent when one has the tools to properly heat it. Problem is, you may wind up damaging the internal LED diodes. I would not recommend trying this. I recommend buying a small 6', IP67 rated water resistant (this is a COATING and is NOT submersible!) 5050 RGB LED and cutting it to the size you need. **Q: What size do I need for a 56 gal tank** A: I personally have the 92cm mounted in front top and have 2 15 inch at the back top. Not sure what the 92 cm in inches is , I believe about 40. Their light is bright and I enjoy the color settings. They have been working well so far. My only complaint is, when these lights are off and the power flickers (which happens often at my house), these lights come back on. I don't know how many times I've woken up to all my fish tanks being lit up, not knowing how long my fish actually got to rest before the lights came back on from a power flicker.
