I put cold water in mine. it does give cool air, as long as you are DIRECTLY in front of it. one fill of the water tray will last about 5 minutes. I had to use it on the high speed of the fan to even feel any air coming from it. description says the unit is very quiet, NOT! quieter than a room unit that you would mount in a window, but not quiet! don't try to run it off a USB from your computer, it won't have enough power to run the unit. I had to use a charger unit that plugs into the wall outlet.all in all, not worth it. returned for refund. ### ⭐ Cheaply made *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2019* This is a cheap, poorly made item. It did not turn on out the the box. Finally got the lights to come on but fan did not work. You can't put that many ice cubes into the tank. Why are you saying just put the ice cubes in as if there were so much space????? You can only put two or three and it barely even fits ! And you have to put it in certain spots but the label makes us believe that you can pour so many cubes into it and you can just close the lid like that. The curtain would NOT go in when you put so many cubes in. Please don't have misleading labels. And you didn't mention you have to remove the filter first and then the curtain!
