It eliminates the need to strip a large section of roof to replace old, damaged felt. This product can be installed in new builds and refurbishment projects and suites all rafter centres. As roofing felt perishes over a period of time, it is at its most vulnerable at the eaves level, where it can sag and allow water to collect (ponding), causing the felt to tot, rupture and allow water to access the roofing void, which may cause damage to the rafter timbers and roof structures Our high quality PVC felt support trays provide clear drainage points into gutter, directing water away from the underlay Installation Guidelines: The felt support tray should be used with timber fillets. The front “bobble” edge should be dressed down towards the gutter and either stapled or nailed into position. The first “bobble” of each tray should be used to locate the overlap, felt should be dressed over the Felt Support Tray as normal. With Fascia’s: The support trays are placed over the fascia board and directly nailed into the rafters using corrosion resistant nails. Adjoining lengths are overlapped by a minimum of 100mm. The roofing underlay is then laid onto the support tray ensuring the bottom edge does not go over the line of the fascia board and into the gutters.
