Just love it! Very light. ### ⭐ Cheaply Made--All Around Awful *by V***A on July 19, 2015* I rarely return items I buy from Amazon, but this one I returned the same day I bought it. First of all, despite the fact the press is supposedly "heavy duty cast aluminum", the press weighs just a bit over one pound. It is not, in any way, "heavy duty." This leads to a problem when actually trying to press dough. First of all, there is no weight with which to press and it is shoddily. I know tortilla presses need some give, but this one felt like it was going to fall apart when I first picked it up. Secondly, because the aluminum is so thin, the handle bends when trying to press your tortilla, resulting in one half of the tortilla being thin and the other very thick. No matter how much I tried maneuvering the dough or the handle, there was no way to create a uniform tortilla, which defeats the purpose of a tortilla press. My final qualm with this press is the fact that it does not appear to be dishwasher safe. Before returning the press, I wanted to clean it (obviously). I placed it in my dishwasher, and when I pulled it out, my fingers were coated with a silvery powder, implying the press didn't hold up well to the dishwasher, despite the fact it was advertised as dishwasher safe. For the same 20 dollars that this press cost, we found an 8 inch cast iron press at Sur La Table. I have to play around with recipes though I think since the tortillas ended up thicker than I wanted. It almost seemed like they were sort of shrinking back up as they cooked.
