There was a slight chemical smell when I first opened the packaging and it lingered for a day or so. I was insistent concern with some wrinkles that were in it when I first rolled it out, but they settled quickly (1werk).My only negative was the color was brighter then I wanted. I thought I was getting a faded combination of teal/blue/beige with hints if grey. But the color is more a med tone teal and the beige is there but I don't feel it's a faded or aged look at all. The price point was great for the quality and I'm keeping the rug.
