Light Weight T-Bar Aluminum Knob Adapter Kit for Daiwa SALTIGA Lever Drag 2 Speed Reels. Fits SALD20-2SPD, SALD30-2SPD, SALD35-2SPD, SALD40-2SPD and SALD50-2SPD 2 Speed Reels. Handle Blank is NOT Included. The Adapter Kit consists of the following components:T-Bar Knob (Black Anodized) /Ball Bearing / Retainer / 2 ShimsPrior to the installation of the Adapter Kit, the original knob must be removed from the reel handle. The removal of the original knob as well as the installation of the Adapter Kit requires the simple use of only a Phillips screw driver and slotted screw driver, nothing more.INSTALLATION Removal of the original knob. Saltiga LD Models: Using a small phillips screw driver, remove the 2 plate screws and the plate on the knob. Using the small phillips screw driver, pry out the plastic top cap from the knob. With the top cap removed, a phillips screw will be exposed. Removing this screw will permit the knob to be removed from the handle spindle. Keep the screw as it will be used to attach the new knob. In the event you misplace this screw, it is a standard 3mm by 16mm pan-head metric screw and can be purchased at most hardware stores. Attaching the new knob. Place the ball bearing onto the handle spindle. Position it at the bottom of the spindle. Separate the 2 halves of the new knob by unscrewing it. Place the bottom half of the new knob onto the spindle, covering the bearing. Place the screw which you removed from the original knob into the top of the retainer. The top of the retainer is wider than the bottom section. Place the retainer with the screw into the top of the new knob and tighten the screw. Keep in mind, I test all Adapter Kits with my Daiwa handles to screen my knobs and retainers for proper operation. However, there are mechanical tolerances in both the Daiwa handle spindle as will as the new knob and retainer. After installation, the knob could be too loose or the knob may note rot...
