My dachshund is extremely difficult to manage when I attempt to clip his nails. It's been a struggle for years. I wanted to try clippers that are small and less intimidating, plus easier for my hands to handle. The u-groom scissors are both of those things. And I have been able to clip his nails! I think he's getting used to it, finally. But my one complaint is that the metal of the blades are a bit soft and they are dinged up from my dog's big black nails. I wish they'd been made of stronger stuff. Otherwise, nice clippers and probably would do well with smaller dogs with flimsier nails. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works for my cats, all different sizes. *by B***L on Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2015* Just cut all four of my cats' claws with these. They are a bit big but still do the job very well. Two of my cats are 9 months old, not little kittens but still quite small and I did not have a problem with these. Might be a bit too big for a small kitten, but they will grow, and many full grown cat's claws are as thick as a dog's, I've had both. I like the size of the finger holes, I have pudgy hands and fingers lol, they fit no problem. My pair was loose enough to open and close easily and tight enough to make a good clean cut, maybe each pair is different (speaking for a few bad reviews from kitty owners). I can only speak for the ones I got and they are nice, a rounded clipper like this is better for a cat claw, it doesn't crush the claw and, as I said, cuts clean.
