## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you tell me if the Australian Pale Ale kits are fresh, or past their "best by" date? Same question for the Canadian Blond.**
A: Further to Mr Beer's answer - I don't buy the kits from Amazon, but checking a recent coopers can I purchased, it says "best before 10 Oct 2018". So assuming say 6 months between manufacture and your purchase, it should be well and truly OK.

**Q: What is the abv on the draught if just brewed according to the instructions?**
A: Should come out to 4.5% abv. Could get 5% if lucky. I've had no problems with the Pale Ale DIY brew from Cooper's. If done right it can surpass the store bought variety. Remember that the Cooper's hydrometer is calibrated for a much lower temprature than you expect. 60 degrees faranhite I believe.When testing samples you may want to chill sample to this temp then test.

**Q: Why does this cost so much??**
A: It's very reasonably priced.  This beer brews 5 gallons.  Compare the price with an Extract kit that will set you back around 40 bucks once you add the cost of yeast in.  Even if you enhance this kit with dry malt extract you're still saving 40-50% over a typical extract kit for this type of beer.

**Q: Could you use two cans in 6 gallons to make a double strength brew? Or is that a bad idea**
A: If want up ABV just add 2 lbs raw cane sugar. Get some Alcotech turbo yeast. Go easy with it 2 teaspoons max for 6 gallon batch.You will only waste a can by doubling. Then again I never tried so experiment if you want. I'd recommend doubeling the yeast up. Try US DIY beer website for more brew tips.Good luck
