The straps fasten with velcro and they did come off quite a few times but i think it was because the outfit was on the small side for my daughter. I ordered size 1-2yrs for my 2.5 year old daughter but she is very small for her age (about 86cm and 26lbs) and it fit her well but like I say a bit small where thebstraps do up. I do feel it was overpriced at over £17, but fancy dress is quite expensive plus I ordered close to Halloween when prices are generally inflated anyway. We were stopped many times whilst out trick or treating with people laughing at the costume. We paired with orange hair and a fake knife. My daughter seemed to be comfortable wearing it.
