## Description

desertcart.com Constructed of 13C26 stainless steel for strength and corrosion resistance, Kershaw's Ken Onion Tactical Blur folding knife features a 3-3/8-inch partially serrated Tanto blade. Ideal for extreme or everyday situations, the Blur series offers power and performance. A lightweight anodized aluminum handle offers Trac-Tec inserts which provide a non-slip grip even in wet and slippery conditions. Kershaw's SpeedSafe assisted opening system helps you to smoothly open the knife with a manual push on the blade's thumb stud or Index-Open system. SpeedSafe's torsion bar helps keep the knife closed, preventing it from being opened by accident. In order to open the knife, apply manual pressure to the thumb stud to overcome the resistance of the torsion bar. After the blade is out of the handle, the torsion bar moves along its track and takes over. The blade opens smoothly and locks into position, ready for use. Review: Another great knife from Kershaw. - I picked this one up at the local Wall-Mart for $65 and it was worth it. It opens lighting fast and has an nice grip feel to the handle. Very easy one handed operation, both opening and closing. I was lucky to get the one with the real toothy serrated blade, more like a saw. A great camping companion. Carries well in my pocket. Doesn't come out unless I want it to. It's razor sharp right out of the box. A nice addition to my collection. If you buy this knife I'm sure you will like it. I'm updating this review because I think it's very important to stress the Kershaw difference. Yes, that sounds like an advertisement, and it was meant to be. I have had such great response from Kershaw that I've decide to become a reseller of their knives. They are simply the best with regards to customer service. Now let's start by saying that no one, and I mean no one can make a perfect knife. They all will have defects from time to time. If you get one that slipped through the cracks and wasn't up to specs You would want a refund or a replacement, right? That's what Kershaw does and more. They will communicate with you directly and they will do what ever it takes to make you a satisfied customer. I have dealt with other knife companies and have run into brick walls. NOT Kershaw! They go the extra mile to keep you coming back for more. So, what about this knife? It is what you would expect for a knife in this price range. It has a low failure rate. It is well built and in 99.99% of the time will not need to be returned or replaced do to a defective item (that's about one in 10,000). I own a lot of Kershaw knives and I have received a few duds. They were all replace or repaired at no cost to me. So when you're thinking of getting a knife. Ask yourself one very important question. If I get a bad one, can I get my money back, or get a new one? The answer when it comes to Kershaw is, undeniably, YES! One more thing. Kershaw is one of the only knife companies that I know if that offers FREE sharpening. Just send the knife to them and they will restore the blade to a razor sharp edge at no charge other then the cost of shipping it to them (about $10). They even cover the return shipping cost. I could go on and on, needless to say, buy a Kershaw knife and most likely, you'll want to but another one. I did with this one.
Review: Best work knife you'll ever buy - Best work knife you'll ever buy. They were $80, they went up $10 but I still think it's worth the money for $100. The tanto blade stays pretty sharp for a long time, I cut rubber all day. The size of the knife is not bad at all, disappears in your pocket. Pick this one for quallity and durability in a work environment. No rust to speak of. Get the serrated for sure.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: is this USA made or China made Kershaw?**
A: I've got a call into Kershaw to ask them. What concerns me is $58 here but $114 on Kershaw site. Can't be that big of a difference in price if this is legitimate made in USA

**Q: My Bf is in the army and I was thinking of buying him this Knife for his bday. Any suggestions?**
A: If he is a knife guy, he will love it. I wouldn't consider it a tactical or combat knife, (He likely has one of those issued to him) but it is an excellent every day carry knife for the price. I have knives from $20 to $200 and this is still one of my favorites. Thank you both for your service to country.

**Q: What is the length of the blade?**
A: 3-1/4" blade, the whole knife is 4-1/2" when closed.

**Q: What is the best way to sharpen the tanto blade? What kind of tool is needed to sharpen the serrations?**
A: i sharpen the non-serrated portion on a whetstone like it is two blades. first one angle, then the other. then i either use the smith's sharpener with the fold out piece for the serrations, or my spyderco sharpmaker, which will sharpen the whole thing. the lansky is nice, but takes a lot of set up. for the sharpmaker, you open the lid, insert the two rods you want to use, insert the safety rods, and get to sharpening. it even comes with a dvd of instructions on how to use it. just takes practice and patience. you can also leave the sharpening stones in the sharpmaker lengthwise and use it like a dry whetstone. the stones are triangle shaped so you can get the serrations with the angles side. knife sharpeing, like anything else, takes some trial and error to get right. btw, i own three blurs, one of which is the tanto. i dont like that blade configuration very much, but the knife itself is great so i still own it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best pocket knife
*by A***S on March 5, 2026*

Best knife ever. I keep losing it or get it taken by security. Purchase it for friends as presents. Great easy fling action. Tanto straight edge a plus and retains its sharpness for detailed cuts. Feels the right size, weight and texture in the hand. Wish the pocket clip hid it further in the pocket because I wear it 24/7 no matter what the occasion.
