They’ll need to start up to 50ish mph gusts** A: Do not use these. The frame is more than strong enough but the spring gate can be opened with light pressure. I used one on a dog lead and in certain circumstances the lead would come up against the gate and release the hound! Far better to use the screw gate version. **Q: Will it work for gym equipment** A: It's okay from a weight bearing perspective. It can withstand a weight of 1200kg. 1800kg was found to be damaged.
