They are perfect for holidays as they weigh virtually nothing when packing but are just enough to pop over your shoulders of it cools down in the evenings. The colour of this one is far more vibrant than it looks in the picture which was fine for me but it might be too bright for some. The only thing "wrong" is that it is not remotely glittery so not sure why the description says it is. Again, not a problem for me but might disappoint if you particularly wanted glitter. It is very thin, but was perfect for wearing on holiday. It is very stretchy so would fit most sizes, particularly as it ties up. Also handy for taking out as it would fit in a medium sized handbag and doesn't get creased. I ordered the red one and wore it with a black and white spotted dress, I had lots of compliments from people.
