It has double sided tape in certain places. I'm familiar with this type of tape, it does hold like wouldn't believe. The top of the grill holds great. Because of the design of the original grill, the bottom corners did not stick.Since I'm a handy chick, more double sided tape and wire ties to make sure they hold.Looks great!Only thing I dont like and the reason why I did not give five stars, there are three little tabs at the bottom that shows. The box arrived pretty beat up, to be honest, so I was concerned the overlay itself might be damaged when I opened the box, but to my surprise, it was just fine. The product/instruction sheet indicates alcohol wipes were included, which I did not receive, but no biggie.Prior to installing, I cleaned off the grille, per the instructions and put the overlay on before removing the 3M protective film to ensure it was going to fit properly. Once I did that, and made certain the freshly cleaned areas of the grille were bone dry, I removed the protective strips from the 3M strips, popped it right on, and applied the necessary pressure.Of course, I cannot vouch for long-term wear of this yet, but it looks GREAT on my 2012 Terrain! Fit like a glove and is a sharp chrome addition. I installed it on my 2015 GMC Terrain. Process took around 5 minutes to install. I first wiped down the factory grill with armor all so there was no dust left, but then realized they had shipped some alcohol with the chrome grill to clean and dry with. It snapped into place firmly, about 8-12 different snaps. 3m tape helped secure around the edges . Fit very firmly. Looks like a factory install. Definitely makes the already big front end stand out even more.
