Which thermal pad goes where... Assembly of unit will cause bowing resulting in poor thermal contact. Screws go in sideways causing bowing and distortion of the heatsink. The silicone rubber band version heatsinks are even worse. Maybe just use mini stick-on heatsinks like the type for a Raspberry PI if you have the room and don't mind the SSD label sticking to the heatsink... much better thermal solution! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ COOL ITEM *by G***. on Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2019* My NVME is just below CPU socket and would normally be cooled by the CPU fan but I watercool so I added this. As an A+ tech I understand how this works and believe it has lowered the ssd temperatures. I did not measure anything but adding a finned heatsink where there is some airflow should drop the temps of the treated object.
