This did the trick. The nice things about it are that it has switchable voltage (5v/3.3v), has the USB-A port built in, so I don't have to find a USB cable, and has the female-female jumper cables included so that I don't have to go track those down either. Worked like a charm the first time.No drivers needed on my Mac. Read as a genuine FTDI chipset.
