**Q: Is this made of high carbon steel?**
A: I don't know probably not...it is made for casual home use...if you need it professionally I'd spend the money on a high grade tool...you know you get what you pay for...for me it is great...

**Q: Is there a sheath available to fit this saw (other than the cardboard one that is included)?**
A: Yes, mine came with a tough, plastic sheath.  Good thing, too, as this saw is SHARP!  Use with care.  It really cuts easily, is very light and has a wonderfully comfortable grip.

**Q: Does this handsome little saw cut on the push, the pull, or both?**
A: This saw cuts when you push, pull for chip removal.

**Q: Can this be used for hardwood?**
A: Yes it can be used for hardwood in my opinion. I used it for pine and and timber branches.
It is sharp and works smooth.
